Weaving Light
Weaving Light is the interior design of a sales centre in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, completed in October 2019. The design combines features of the local natural environment with a refined yet simplified style. Natural materials form the base of the space, and trees are planted indoors to bring greenery inside. Layered light and shadow, the careful cutting of materials and balanced spatial proportions create clear visual depth. Horizontal and vertical lines and calm colours shape a quiet setting for visitors.
Weaving Light Sale Centre by Wen-Ching Wu has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Weaving Light Sale Centre was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
