Splash Ink
Splash Ink is a residential interior design for a family home. The living room is turned to a new direction to enlarge the shared space and to let sunlight reach deep into the interior. A large marble block forms the television wall between the living room and the corridor, separating active and quiet areas while the flow remains open. The stone and the wood veneer recall the gradations of oriental splash ink landscape painting. Hollowed titanium lines and titanium strip frames keep the space light. The door to the private area is widened to 1.2 meters.
Splash Ink Residential by Li Tien Wen was featured as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Splash Ink Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
