Hidden
Hidden is a residential interior design located in Taishan, China, completed in 2019. The house covers 450 square meters and is built beside the mountains. Local Taishan stone, lime plaster and thick stone walls form the structure, which blocks heat in summer and holds warmth in winter. Wooden ring beams support the ceiling and reduce the load on the stone walls. Large French windows bring natural views into the living space. The yard follows the height difference with two platforms, and sand and stones pave the lower path.
Hidden House by Jian Zhang was highlighted as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Hidden House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
