Contemporary Domain
Contemporary Domain is a residential interior design completed in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The interior combines Chinese classic elements with modern urban styling. At the entrance, a turning path with lighting, an abstract landscape painting and integrated storage protects privacy. A Chinese styled sliding door and a vertical timber grille frame the public areas. A dark round mirror in the dining area spreads the natural light and makes the space appear larger. A glass sliding panel of 1.2 meters separates the living room from the study. Storage is recessed into the walls.
Contemporary Domain Residence by Jian Neng Chen was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Contemporary Domain Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
