Birth of a Royal Library
Titled: The Corvina Library and the Buda Workshop, the exhibition was organized in the National Szechenyi Library, Budapest. At the heart of the space, in 3 rooms, 67 stunning books were on display from the Bibliotheca Corvina, established by King Mathias in the 15th century. Upon arrival a giant vellum - the material of medieval manuscripts – was placed with the general introduction. A similar interim space, a reading area, a so-called Library was created on the way out of the exhibition rooms. Thus, the visitor journey resonated with the theme of the exhibition: Birth of a Royal Library.
Birth of a Royal Library Exhibition by Maria Gazdag has been highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Birth of a Royal Library Exhibition was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
