Movable Bookhouse
Movable Bookhouse is a residential interior design created for a family of three in an apartment of 220 square meters. The layout joins a play area for children with a comfortable long-term home. Two symmetrical wooden bookshelves take bookstores as a reference and give the open living space a sense of stability. Movable furniture keeps the floor free for activities. Concrete and marble textures form gray and white layers, supported by wooden tones. A cloakroom near the entrance, an open kitchen and double sound insulation add further comfort.
Movable Bookhouse Residential House by Yi Sheng Chang has been selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Movable Bookhouse Residential House earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
