Operetta
Operetta means light opera, a modern genre of performing arts. The design evolves around a concept of stage, interaction between performers and audience. It combines modern design ideas with 17-18th century design styles. Looking through an EYE at the entrance is a front hall of classic architectural style. Iconic theatre elements such as domes, arcs, and art of the 17th and 18th centuries are adapted for a modern feeling. Through a corridor to the dining hall is of a modern style. Modern lighting system, materials and colours are chosen to create a grand atmosphere comparable to a theatre.
Operetta Restaurant by Monique Lee has been highlighted as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Operetta Restaurant was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2018. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
