Jardo
The Jardo project illustrates the designer's quest for a balance between architecture, art, and design. The designer's fascination with sculpture had a significant influence on the final result, which is reflected in the furniture and staircase designs. A major challenge for him was manipulating the proportions and boundaries of the rooms to eliminate conventional solutions. He focused on ecology and sustainable development. He leveraged the benefits of local craftsmanship and local manufacturers working with wood, stone, glass, and natural cladding materials.
Jardo Residential House by Maciej Basałygo was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Jardo Residential House was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
