Home of Memories
Home of Memories is a residential interior design for a 115 square meter home in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The layout was reversed and one of the four bedrooms was removed to widen the living room. A photo wall replaces the usual television wall and displays the owner's travel photographs, which can be changed. Wood veneer and stone are arranged in irregular sizes, and light strips are placed along the sides. A full wall of cabinets at the entrance holds shoes, books and travel souvenirs. The living room, dining room and study share one open space.
Home of Memories Interior Design by Chen Chia Yu was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Home of Memories Interior Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
