Flex Haven
Flex Haven is a residential interior design for a family apartment. The design balances play and function within an adaptable layout. A central slide is joined by a swing, monkey bars and a curved ceiling, forming an environment that grows with the child. The slide unit follows a block-inspired form, and the stairs retract to become flush storage or a hideout. A ceiling track allows later conversion into a storage room. Three zones separate the parents and children areas while keeping a shared family space, so the home suits changing needs.
Flex Haven Residential Space by Lo Hsiao-Li was featured as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Flex Haven Residential Space received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
