The Clouds
The Clouds is a residential apartment interior of 90 square meters in Taipei, Taiwan. The plan holds three bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Curved lines run through the ceiling and the fitted furniture, softening the boundaries between the areas. The living room ceiling was shaped by hand at a slight angle to conceal beams of different heights. A custom foyer protects privacy and leads to an open storage area and a curved wine cabinet. Light from the large windows keeps the shared spaces calm and open.
The Clouds Residential House by Carina Lin has been selected as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Clouds Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
