Less
Less is a retail store located in Hangzhou, China. The interior measures 12 by 8 meters with a height of 3.3 meters. The design follows the brand philosophy of minimalism and the idea that less is more. Bent minimalist planes form the structure, define the space and create visual tension at the same time. A steel structure supports the interior. Cement surfaces give the store a warm atmosphere. The project was completed in five months and aims to express the brand identity through simple form.
Less Store by Zhenfei Wang has been identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Less Store was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
