Stone Rhyme
Stone Rhyme is a residential interior design for a five-story house of about 264.4 square meters in Taiwan. The ceiling, floor and walls are covered with marble in different colors and patterns. A large false beam was removed from the living room to restore openness under the high ceiling. Wavy panels beside the staircase conceal beams and columns. Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light. Warm neutral colors are used in the social area, while cool neutral tones are used in the private rooms. Wood veneer and grilles soften the stone surfaces.
Stone Rhyme Residence by Fu-Kai Bai was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Stone Rhyme Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that honors exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
