Field Ode
Field Ode is the interior design of a hotpot restaurant in Tainan City, Taiwan. The multi-level space covers about 212 square meters and is arranged in the manner of a modern art gallery. Three elements guide the design: sunlight, air and water. Daylight enters through double-sided windows, plant spheres represent air, and titanium coated ripple panels suggest an underwater dining scene. Wave-like canopies of folded perforated panels shape the second floor. Eco-friendly materials create a calm grayscale ambiance.
Field Ode Restaurant by Dado Interior Design was featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Field Ode Restaurant received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
