Window View
Window View is a residential interior design for a 112.3 square metre apartment in Taiwan. The renovation restores the original ceiling height and adds a single curved ceiling, so the existing beam marks the boundary between the dining and living areas. Large windows bring daylight and the green landscape into the open social area. Solid teak flooring, walnut veneer and warm grey walls create a calm colour transition. Floor levels are kept consistent to ease movement, supporting the quiet retirement life of the residents.
Window View Residence by KUN-HAN YANG was identified as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Window View Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
