Abu Dhabi Oasis
Abu Dhabi Oasis is a cafe interior set in a 50-year-old two-story apartment in Taiwan, with a total area of 165.2 square meters. Dark orange stucco paint recalls desert tones and is balanced by stainless steel surfaces, whose sharp edges were trimmed blunt for safety. The outdoor awning was removed and glass and open planning were used to bring daylight inside. The first floor holds outdoor seating, a counter and a bar. The basement offers seating, a planted patio and a drainage tank that manages water and irrigates the plants.
Abu Dhabi Oasis Cafe by BOFA Design has been recognized as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Abu Dhabi Oasis Cafe was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
