Slope Extension
Slope Extension is a residential interior design for an apartment of 59 square meters. The closed floor plan is transformed into an open and flexible layout with generous visual depth. To make the rooms feel wider, the ceiling, flooring and cabinets are shaped with sloped surfaces, diagonal lines and beveled corners. The slopes run from the living room to the multifunctional area. Wood flooring is laid in a diagonal direction along the axis of the home. Materials include laminate, mineral paint, brushed metal and corrugated glass.
Slope Extension Residential House by Chia Hao Tung has been featured as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
