Summer Afternoon
Summer Afternoon is an apartment interior design completed in Taiwan. The residence covers 92.5 square meters, with the public area on the ground floor and the private area on the second floor. The living and dining rooms are left without partitions to keep the layout open. Wooden sliding doors and folding windows separate the kitchen, hold back fumes and let daylight pass through. Grey paint, wood veneers, architectural concrete and textured glass form a calm and rustic setting. A light green bedside wall brightens the master bedroom.
Summer Afternoon Residence by FAN-YU SHEN, ZOEY WU has been identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Summer Afternoon Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
