Spirit of Ink
Spirit of Ink is a villa interior design inspired by Chinese ink painting. The residence covers 165 square meters. Color, material and structure are used as brush and ink to create a space that is fresh, simple and calm. The living room combines ink black and soft white, placing the two colors side by side. Leather sofas, curtains, marble tables, carpets and ceramics reflect one another and form a corner of an ink painting. Natural wood elements and hanging paintings add warmth. The ink theme is kept light rather than dull, with tones matched to each bedroom.
Spirit of Ink Villa by Ares Chiu was identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Spirit of Ink Villa was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
