The Changer Day and Day
The Changer Day and Day is a residential building located in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. White is used as the main color, in contrast with the earth tones and grey shades common in local metropolitan architecture. Balcony frames are painted in traditional Japanese kimono colors, including ice green, barely white, patrinia flower and arrow feather. Recessed windows and protruding balconies provide sun shading and reduce electricity use. Self-cleaning tiles limit the effects of dust and acid rain. The balconies are arranged so that every resident receives an equal view of the nearby sea.
The Changer Day and Day Residence by Changer Construction Co., Ltd has been selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Changer Day and Day Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
