Grayscale 2
Grayscale 2 is a residential interior design for an apartment of 85 square meters. The layout provides two bedrooms and two additional rooms, with an open public area that joins the living room and a sidebar used for dining and other flexible needs. Calm grayscale tones set the atmosphere. Hollowing, suspension, staggered color blocks, textured glass and iron inserts add depth to the limited floor area. The television is built into a double-sided cabinet that also serves a storage room. Materials include art paint, hexagonal tiles, rock panels and oak-stained veneer.
Grayscale 2 Residential by XING Interior Design has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Grayscale 2 Residential was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
