Purrfect for Two
Purrfect for Two is a residential interior design for a 40 square meter apartment in Taipei, Taiwan. One side of the original space was 60 centimeters lower, dividing the small area in two. Two storeys are arranged on the sunken side to create a comfortable home for one resident and a cat. A wavy line forms the axis of the space and reduces sharp corners. The staircase steps are low for the cat, and a hole in the wall near the entrance lets the cat pass. Dark grey coating, wood flooring, glass bricks and plaster build the texture.
Purrfect for Two Residence by Shih-shih Interior Design Co., Ltd. has been selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Purrfect for Two Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
