My Smoking Jackets
My Smoking Jackets is a residential interior design created for the home of a fashion designer. The loft layout combines a studio working area with the apartment, and a half-open plan separates public and private areas. A raised living room volume acts as a buffer between the working and living zones and allows natural light to reach the work area, kitchen and dining room. Indoor glass and gray mirrors enlarge the space visually, while black, white and gray tones keep the color scheme consistent. The compact plan of less than 90 square meters supports both work and family life.
My Smoking Jackets Residential House by Ya-Jung HSIEH was highlighted as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. My Smoking Jackets Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition that rewards excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
