World of Rabbit
World of Rabbit is a model home interior located in a property sales office in Shapingba District, Chongqing. The space covers 70 square meters and follows a fairy tale theme built around a rabbit family. Bold colours and playful forms appear in each corner, and soft dolls represent the forest friends of the imagined owner. Several materials with a terrazzo texture are used to meet different design and functional needs. Plush fabric covers the bedroom feature wall to create a dreamlike mood. Most substrates are treated against damp and mould, because the local climate is humid and rainy.
World of Rabbit Sample Room by Ke Rong was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. World of Rabbit Sample Room was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
