Light and the woodhouse
Light and the Woodhouse is a residential interior design for a three-generation family in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The interior covers about 148 square meters and includes an entrance, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Wood surfaces, glazed stone and gray mirrors are combined to create layered textures. The white television wall shows a stone pattern that recalls mountains. Large windows bring daylight and fresh air inside. Materials with low formaldehyde emissions are used to protect health.
Light and the woodhouse Residential House by Hui-Shan Lu was identified as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Light and the woodhouse Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
