Circle of Life
Circle of Life is a residential interior design completed in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The circle is used as the main medium for the transformation of space. From the entrance, layered arc walls lead to a living room shaped as a double circle. A circular gold boundary marks the core and continues into the ceiling, which conceals functional equipment. Semi-transparent hollow partitions divide the areas. Ceramic tiles and wooden floors act as quiet boundaries along the circulation paths. Round furniture, lamps and iron details add safety for young children.
Circle of Life Residence by JEFF HSU, HOWARD LIU has been recognized as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards.
