La Famille
La Famille is a residential interior design created for a three-generation family in Taichung, Taiwan. The home covers about 240 square meters across six floors and includes a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, three bedrooms, two study rooms and a walk-in closet. Wooden textured volumes form the main structures and are combined with white marble and gray floor tiles. The symmetrical wooden forms give the public areas a sense of balance. Low formaldehyde and fire resistant wood materials were selected for safety and easy maintenance.
La Famille Residence by Jung Chi Hsu has been featured as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. La Famille Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
