Symphony of Lights
Symphony of Lights is a residential interior design located in Taipei, Taiwan. The home is arranged around a shrine, in which suspended shelves and side cabinets replace the traditional altar. Black, white and brown are applied in the public areas, following traditional Chinese color psychology. Large matte thin tiles, wire-brushed wood veneer and titanium-plated metal form the main surfaces. LED line lights are embedded in the wooden ceiling to balance natural and artificial light. A lowered central television wall divides the public areas and also serves as a study.
Symphony of Lights Residence by Yi Ta Lee has been recognized as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Symphony of Lights Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
