K11 Musea
K11 Musea is a shopping mall interior located on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in Hong Kong. The ten-storey retail and art complex covers a total floor area of 1.1 million square feet. At its centre is a 35 metre high atrium named Opera Theatre, where 1,800 programmable spotlights are set into the ceiling to suggest a galaxy of stars. A sculpture above the escalator recalls the buttress roots of local banyan trees. Surfaces are clad in handcrafted bronze and rustic paintwork. Rainwater is harvested for irrigation, and a seawater cooled, oil free air conditioning system reduces energy use.
K11 Musea Shopping Mall by K11 Musea was recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. K11 Musea Shopping Mall earned the Platinum A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020.
