Yic Barbecue Market
Yic Barbecue Market is a restaurant interior covering 280 square meters. The design departs from the traditional barbecue shop through a brand identity based on a small alien dinosaur character. At the entrance, a figure wearing an oxygen mask greets passers-by and gives the facade a simple and clear expression. Mirror stainless steel forms a continuous ceiling and a dramatic dining environment. The smoke exhaust pipe in the barbecue area takes a UFO shape. Seating areas are divided by changes in color, decoration and furniture shapes rather than by walls.
Yic Barbecue Market Restaurant by Qing Dong has been highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Yic Barbecue Market Restaurant received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
