Gallery Crossroad

Gallery Crossroad is an exhibition interior for photography, set inside a 40 year old Taiwanese house. The construction area is 60 square meters. Most storefront windows are blocked, so the space is shaped by controlled light. Cyclorama walls let visitors view each full frame. A steel wireframe structure runs from the columns to the ceiling and is used to hang pieces, and its arch form visually extends the depth of the room. A translucent hollow board screen separates the reception desk from the gallery. The old red door and grid wall tiles are kept.

FA House

FA House is a residential interior design for a private house of 205 square meters. The interior was created as a simple living environment for a modern family. The main double-height space is a studio filled with a strong stream of light. The light is reflected by the contrasting wall surfaces and the textured edges of the furniture. A staircase in the double-height space forms the main accent. The railing is made of round metal pipes welded at sharp angles. A separate guest block opens into the studio and supports the privacy of the residents.

Dragon

Dragon is a restaurant interior located inside a financial technology office building in Beijing. The design covers 2500 square meters and seeks a calm atmosphere based on natural elements. A main challenge was that 80 percent of the dining space lies underground and receives no natural light. Nature is therefore simulated. A waterfall and a pool are formed in cast concrete with digital technology, and copper ducklings appear to swim on the surface. Private dining rooms recall the shape of a valley, with plants and seasons, and simulated light supports these enclosed areas.

Forge Loft

Forge Loft is a loft apartment created inside an old forge in Leszno, Poland. The forge is part of a 19th-century pump factory that is being converted into a living complex. The interior is based on contrast. Original brick walls, concrete floors and lintels are kept as raw witnesses of the past. New elements are neutral and elegant, forming a frame for the historical structure. Black surfaces, perforated steel, a steel railing and a spiral staircase set the background, while warm accessories and soft textiles soften the industrial character. The apartment covers 120 square metres.

Heting Barbecue

The 360 square meter space combines barbecue dining, an izakaya, a music restaurant and a bar. Wood, stone, light and shadow are arranged in an architectural manner, creating varied views within a limited area. A dislocated background wall stands at the center of the dining area, where lighting reveals contrasts between different material surfaces. Old green bricks recall the historic character of the city.

Hufeng Courtyard

Hufeng Courtyard is a model villa interior in Hangzhou, China, covering 253 square meters. Six artistic glass screens separate the living room from the dining area. A white marble wall, marble floors with water wave grain and matte tinted sandalwood panels form a modern landscape scene. Gauze curtains filter the sunlight. The staircase beside the dining area follows a modern Chinese style. The room for elder family members is placed on the ground floor next to the courtyard. Oak flooring, bronze-like stainless steel and white sintered stone complete the interior.
